Virtual production stage three enters service

The third LED volume now runs alongside the live stages at Deepend Studios, cutting previs-to-final iterations on Deepend Movies' next two productions.

The third LED volume at Deepend Studios has entered service, running alongside the live stages and giving Deepend Animations an additional in-camera VFX surface.

The practical effect is iteration speed. Shots that previously needed a previs pass, a stage shoot, and a post round-trip can now be reviewed at full fidelity on set, which has already cut estimated previs-to-final iterations on Deepend Movies' next two productions.

Deepend Animations continues to run character, environment, lighting and compositing in-house, so the look is decided once rather than negotiated between four post houses.
